Frequently Asked Questions….
1. Where are you located?
We have one awesome location at 421 Beaverhill Blvd inside Gymkyds Gymnastics. Classes run Mon, Wed and Fri at 6am, 645am and 730am.
2. What do I need to bring to boot camp?
We provide the equipment but if you need lighter weights then bringing your own isn’t a bad idea. At both facilities you MUST wear clean, indoor runners to keep the special floors clear of grass and mud. Bring a bottle of water and a towel.
3. What happens if I want to continue on with boot camp once my 30-day deal discount is over?
We’d love to have to continue with us at SWEATMARKS. We make it as simple and easy for you to continue bootcamps. It doesn’t matter which program you decided to join, we can easily set you up on a recurring payment plan and we will assume that you will continue each month unless you tell us otherwise (email works best); one month after your initial purchase, you will be billed for the same amount as the previous month. Please let us know at least 5 business days before the end of your one month period if you are going to stop bootcamps. If you sign up for just the one month membership and decide you really enjoy it and want to continue for more than an additional month, let us know and you can sign up for the 6 month reduced rate.
4. What kind of people go to boot camp?
People just like you! Some of our boot campers just need to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some are tired of the same old workout routine and are looking for a new challenge and refreshing way to stay fit. Most of our campers have some history of exercise, but it’s not required. We make the program just right for your ability level. If you have severe knee or hip problems which makes things like slow jogging and squatting painful, bootcamps might not be for you. Remember, ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE ACCEPTED and ENCOURAGED TO TRY!
5. What is a typical boot camp workout like?
We don’t have typical days — if you want the same routine day after day, then you would probably want to join a fitness center. With our 30 minute workouts, you can expect a mixture of resistance training using equipment such as jump ropes, medicine balls, stability balls, bodyweight, and dumbbells. Some sort of cardiovascular training will be done each day as well. Each day is designed to be fun and different, but never boring!
6. Will I be sore?
YES!! Many boot campers feel some soreness for the first 3-5 days. After that, it is slight to moderate. It’s all part of the process of improving your physical condition! Many boot campers enjoy being sore and are disappointed when they don’t feel they got sore enough.
7. What happens if it rains?
Unlike some other boot camps, ours are held indoors. So you never have to worry about Manitoba’s weather and mosquitoes coming after you. On the odd day if it’s really, really nice…we may go outside for a special workout – but expect to be indoors unless you’ve been given the head’s up by us.
